·        Every 2 seconds someone needs blood.  A single shock-trauma victim can use 100 units of blood in just a few hours.  A person being treated for cancer may use up to 10 units of platelets per day, and a liver transplant can use up to 160 units of components.

·        Your donation can help as many as 3 critically ill people (blood donations are broken down into red cells, platelets, and plasma).

·        Your participation can have a significant life saving impact on the lives of our friends, family, and community members.
